Birthday Madness

The MiMBYGirl turns seven this weekend.  I won't even broach the bittersweet feelings that arise from that statement.  However, there are dilemmas that must be addressed.  Does one bake cupcakes for school, a cake for the party, and a cake for the family?  This is not something I ever navigated well with the MiMBY Teen.  Yes, I baked for everything.   

Now, with school cancelled for the day due to a malfunctioning well pump, we have 21 cupcakes and another dilemma.  I could use them for the birthday party, though they are not blue and I'm not sure that some underwater figure would sit well on their topside.  But, they are baked. 

We came up with a rather brilliant idea for a craft for the party and I see another product line coming into focus. 

Blank canvas!

These are the Blank Canvas bags.  Made of a sturdy natural denim, they are begging for creative birthday goers to adorn them with artwork.  For the MiMBY Girl's birthday, we'll be playing with the Sharpie/rubbing alcohol combination I discovered, where else, on the Place of Lost Hours.

Cupcake dilemma almost resolved.  The MiMBY Girl's teacher just emailed to say cupcakes scheduled for Monday.  Now the question is, will they last until Monday and taste good?
