Flower Brooches, Take 2
I don't know about you, but I am desperate for signs of spring. I wander around my yard looking for brave snowdrops poking up out of the ground, but so far they are still sleeping. Desperate times call for desperate measures, so I made my own spring flowers.
I like these so much better than the first batch I made. They are more substantial with the back cut of felt that I knitted on my new knitting machine. I love the mix of fibery textures - the airy quality of the Kidsilk Mohair makes it such a wonderful yarn to play with, and pinks and oranges are just what I need to hasten the mood towards spring-like cheer.
I've been working at a local yarn shop helping out during the spring sale event, which is going on this weekend. I've made a little list of yarns I desperately need, so I probably will take my pay in yarn. :-) In the meantime, the sun is out and it looks at least as though it might get warm enough to leave a coat at home someday soon. Here's hoping for sun throughout the weekend for those of us tired of dreary skies.
