When Inspiration Strikes....cont.

I think once you start acting on inspiration you find more of it.  You know those nylon gym bags you se everywhere?  Purl Soho made some fun ones out of Liberty lawn, which I love but would grow tired of quickly.  But they added some good elements - polyester cording for the straps and well-considered sizes for small, medium, and large (adult!) kids.

I thought I'd go a little more classic and had some raw linen on hand.  I cut out bags and planned to leave them unlined, but there wasn't a lot of structure there.  Then I decided I really wanted to do some embroidery.  Despite the gorgeous sunny morning MiMBY Girl got inspired too:

I've been making yo-yo's because they are so darn fun.  I thought I use them for headbands and clips.  But raw linen is a perfect medium:

Paracord, which you can buy on Amazon, turns out to be the perfect cording for this bag and it comes in a zillion colors and it's cheap!  I used grommets to secure the bottom of the straps, sending the dog running as soon as the hammering commenced.

We're off to the big city for a couple of days and these bags will come in handy for our stuff - the important things like money, maps, and phones!  Hopefully, inspiration will be found everywhere!

Groovy!

Groovy!
